In His Image Evangelical Ministries was founded in 1989 by Bishop Dr. Dennis Thompson.
Now in our third decade, the church flourishes with a strong spiritual vitality, enriched by programs of fellowship, music, Christian Education and outreach.

In His Image Ministries is a Bible believing church which holds to and unapolegetically and unreservedly follow it's instructions. We as a church totally believe and follow and teach the following:

Elect Lady
An anointed woman of God who refuses to compromise the preaching and teaching of the gospel
Elect Lady Dr. Thompson accepted the Lord in 1979 at an open-air service, under the late Apostle Johnny L. Washington, who was the Pastor and founder of Tabernacle of Prayer For All People church located in Jamaica Queens, New York.
There, Elect Lady Thompson served faithfully on the Choir, which made her into an awesome worshipper and psalmist. She fulfilled her passion for souls by being an active member of the Prison Ministry and Street Outreach Team, where she ministered to hundreds of souls each year.
She is a graduate of Tabernacle of Deliverance Bible Institute, under the direction of the late Dr. Clarence L. Johnson. In addition she attended the Tabernacle Bible Institute in Jamaica Queens, New York.
Her Christian education has brought her to obtain certification from Evangelical Training Institute (ETA), where she is currently an instructor at the Last Day Remnant Bible Institute Bridgeton, New Jersey, which serves both Cumberland and Atlantic counties.

She is well fortified and equipped to help believers to fight strategically against the tactics of the enemy.

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the revelation of God to mankind, is verbally and fully inspired by Him, is sufficient for the knowledge of God and His will that is necessary for the eternal welfare of mankind, is infallible and inerrant in its original manuscripts, and is the supreme and final authority for all Christian faith and conduct.

The Bible

We believe that there is but one God, whose essential nature is that of a living, personal Spirit. He is infinitely perfect in all of His attributes, He is the creator and sustainer of all things, and He exists in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man; that is, He is fully divine and also fully human. He preexisted eternally with the Father, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect life and died a substitutionary death for the sins of mankind. We believe that He arose bodily from the grave, that He ascended to heaven, where He is presently High Priest and Advocate for His people, and that He will return personally and bodily to the earth at the close of this age. He is the world's only Savior and is the Lord of all.

Jesus Christ

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, the third Person of the Trinity. We believe that He was sent from the Father by the Son to convict the world, to regenerate and indwell those who trust in Christ, to baptize them into the Body of Christ, to seal them for the final day of redemption, to guide them into truth, to fill them for a life of holiness and victory and to empower them for witness and service. We believe that He gives spiritual gifts to believers for the proper functioning of the Body of Christ, which is the Church.
The Holy Spirit

We believe that a person is saved by God's grace alone, made possible through the shed blood of Christ, whereby He died a substitutionary death for mankind, and through the Resurrection of Christ. Salvation becomes effective when a person, by an act of faith, acknowledges Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord. The benefits of this salvation include the forgiveness of sins and a new standing before God, the impartation of new life and all the privileges that accompany a new family relationship with God. The assurance of salvation as a present possession is the privilege of every believer in Christ.

Pastor
Dwayne Parker, Sr.
H.M., Th.B.
Pastor Dwayne Parker is a native of Bridgeton, NJ. He serves at In His Image Evangelical Ministries, Inc. Affectionately called Pastor Parker, he faithfully ministers under the leadership of Bishop Dennis and Elect Lady Cheryl Thompson.
Pastor Parker received Christ as his personal savior in 1995. He joined hard to In His Image Ministries in 1999 and in 2001, Bishop Thompson ordained him as a Minister. He soon attended Cumberland Bible Institute now Last Day Remnant Bible Institute where he became a Certified Evangelical Training Association Instructor. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology and was ordained an Elder. Through the laying on of hands by Bishop Thompson and the presbytery, he was consecrated to serve as Assistant Pastor of In His Image in 2006.
Elder Parker loves the church and serves wherever needed. He is the Sunday School Superintendent, Coordinator of Men’s Ministry, Committee member of Couples Ministry, member of the Board of Trustees, Bachelor and Master Level Bible College Instructor. Additionally, The National Congress of Black Women of Washington DC recognized Elder Parker for outstanding community service. He received letters of commendation from
State and County Officials along with the Juvenile Detention Center Directors for exceptional leadership and volunteer work. He is the Founder and Director of The Crossover Basketball Mentorship Program, married 20 years to Kim his High School sweetheart, the father of three a pop-pop to twin grandsons and is foster care parent to children in need.
God has graced Elder Parker with the anointing to teach and to preach the word with wisdom and revelation. He has committed to memory chapters of Scripture and holds firmly to the instruction of I Timothy 1:18 “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them might war a good warfare.”
